Is that a typo? Wrong! On the contrary, it’s a successful fusion of Swabian and international cuisine.
Take regionally rooted, South German craftsmanship, practised hands and the methods of star-rated restaurants, then add international influences – that’s what we call Swabional! Simple, down-to-earth dishes are transformed into a taste experience. Head chef Philip Blank cooks with passion, pleasure and a lot of creativity. You can taste it, our guests say, and even the “Guide Michelin” agrees!

Our rooms – Your home from home between the Allgäu hills & Lake Constance
We recently gave our rooms a major facelift. Not one room fits all, though – that would be boring! We now do Classic, Smart or Deluxe! What all of our 69 rooms have in common, however, is furnishings with great attention to detail and maximum feel-good factor. You don’t just book a room with us but a home from home.
“Rad” is German for “wheel” and we love to set new things in motion. And that’s how we hit on some original names for our suites and our exclusive furniture – meet Egon, Anni, Hugo and Raspberry Helga!

That’s right – we love a good contrast! Hotel Rad is a family-run hotel, meanwhile in the hands of the 4th generation, offering stylish rooms, superior cuisine and unique charm. Notwithstanding that, we prefer to count the stars in the sky than the ones above our front door, and our half-timbered facade has been making an impression on guests ever since 1921. After marvelling at the beauty of Lake Constance during the day, we invite you to spend the evening in our wine parlour or our Swiss pine room.
